Spicy Catfish Stew Ingredients
- Jungin Food Catfish for Spicy Stew
- 4 tbsp red chili paste (gochujang)
- 3 tbsp red chili powder
- 2 tbsp soybean paste (doenjang)
- ½ tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp soju
- Soy sauce for soup (guk ganjang
- to taste)
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- Monosodium glutamate (MSG) or Dashida (optional)
- Freshwater shrimp
- Radish
- Potato
- Dried radish greens (siraegi)
- Onion
- Green onion
- 1 Defrost the catfish until ready for cooking.
- 2 Slice the radish and potatoes, and place them at the bottom of a pot.
- 3 Add the catfish and freshwater shrimp on top, pour in water and the prepared sauce, and boil over high heat for about 20 minutes.
- 4 Add onion, green onion, perilla leaves, crown daisy, and water parsley. Simmer until the vegetables are fully cooked.
